	On January 17, 2007, the Mississippi Private School Association's Accrediting Commission had its quarterly meeting. Among the items discussed was the School of Excellence 's transition from candidate school status to fully accredited. The school was approved for accreditation. This includes our K3 through 5th grade program. This is an important accomplishment for our school and we thank all of our faculty, staff, students and parents who worked very hard toward this distinction.
	We are now participating in the Box Tops for Education Program. Also. we are now members of the Campbell's Soup Label Program. 	This month we are kicking off the Book-It Program done through Pizza Hut. Each grade school student can earn a free personal pan 1-topping pizza by reaching their reading goal for the month. The teachers will work with each child to determine how many and what kind of books to read. Please encourage the reading at home by setting aside a family reading time, checking books out from the library, and whatever else you can think of to promote reading. http://www.bookitprogram.com/
